Summertime is here, and what better way to take advantage of the warm weather than by going for a refreshing swim?

According to the U.S. Consensus Bureau, swimming is the fourth most popular sports activity in the country.1 It's also a great way to get regular aerobic physical activity for people of all ages. 

Water-based exercise can decrease the risk of chronic illnesses, improve mental health, and protect joints from wear and arthritis.2

Swimming can also be a social activity, whether it means taking the kids to the local pool or joining an exercise class through the gym.
